Meet Rick!
OWNER/FOUNDER

Hi, I'm Rick Brake - lifelong dog lover, proud Pittsburgher, and founder of Pittsburgh Paw Adventures. With nearly 12 years of experience in the pet care industry, I've turned my passion into a career and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
I lead a team of reliable, compassionate walkers and sitters who share my commitment to providing top-tier care for every pup we meet. We specialize in adventure pack walks - fun, stimulating group outings that give your dog(s) exercise, socialization, and a big dose of happiness.
Our goal is to provide the best care possible for every dog we have the privilege of walking and loving.
the adventure squad!

LYNN
Lynn has been a dog lover for as long as she can remember. She grew up with labs and goldens and has been a beagle mom for most of her married life. Lynn began dog walking professionally 10 years ago and continues to walk part time. When not walking dogs, she spends her time
writing/teaching music (she teaches jazz saxophone at Duquesne University), playing board games, and travelling all over the country to ride roller coasters.

JASMIN
My name is Jasmin and I've been working with dogs for over 10 years. I love helping dogs live their best lives and taking them on adventures in the woods. I especially love helping senior dogs enjoy their retirement years! I've dedicated my life to these four-legged fur babies, i love them so much and can't wait to grow even more in this field of work. Let me take your pup on a walk or cuddle with them while you're away!

SHAE
Hi I'm Shae! I've been working with dogs for over 5 years and it's something I genuinely love. Whether I'm taking a pup out for a walk or caring for them during a boarding stay, I always focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Every dog has their own personality and i enjoy getting to know what makes each one unique. With plenty of playtime, care, and attention, your dog will be treated like family when they're with me!

Jennifer
My name is Jennifer! I have been a dog walker with Pittsburgh Paw Adventures for 2 years. Having this opportunity allows me to be outdoors and active along with surrounding myself with the best clients anybody could ask for: the four legged kind!
I have a 30-year-old daughter who serves in our military. I am an owner of a newfoundland named Winston, and a Torti cat named, Cardigan Bee Moomoo. I am an avid baseball fan and love my LA Dodgers. Travelling, whether it be close or far, is an essential part of my life. I enjoy volunteering at the local community garden where I can be a steward of the land and teach people how to grow their own food and teach children to appreciate the value of playing in the dirt and not being afraid of bugs and where our food comes from.
WHen life throws unpleasantries and uncertainties, the comfort that our animals bring us in this world is priceless.

Emmitt
Hello, I'm Emmit Willis. A local dogwalker and trainer in the Pittsburgh area. I have studied animal behavior and zoology to improve my communication with our friends of the furry variety to help relay messages from your pup to your family. I am passionate about the outdoors, fitness, and working with animals, which makes walking and training your pups, the perfect blend of everthing I love. If you have a high energetic playmate that needs an outlet, a new family member that needs some pack direction, or just a casual stroll and a social life for your dog, I'm around to help.

Emily
I'm Emily and have been an animal lover ever since I can remember. I received my degree in Animal Behavior & Psychology, interned at a farm sanctuary that takes in abused and abandoned farm animals, and have had the privilege of interning at Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium and the Humane Rescue Wildlife Center. I've worked with many creatures of the world and eventually became a full-time dog walker. I love animals and love every pet like it's my own!
