Ricky and Pittsburgh Paw Adventures have been walking and boarding our dog for over 10 years! They are reliable, caring, and attentive. Our English Bulldog requires special treatment for his heat and breathing limitations and Pittsburgh Paws has been more than accommodating. When you work with Ricky you get more than just a dog service - your dog gets a community! My dog has his own group of dog friends who he is always excited to see and have helped with his socialization. He gets to go on fun adventures all around the city. He always comes home happy and tired! But the best thing about Pittsburgh Paws is their trustworthiness. They treat our dog like he is their own, with his safety as their top concern. Rick has walked and boarded my dogs for the past five years. He has also trained my dogs.I was thrilled for him when he started his own business. It is unique and amazing to have someone you trust and that you know has a love and knowledge of dogs to create a business model that spans all needs - walking , boarding and training. My dogs greet him with squeals that let me know they are beyond comfortable and happy. Boarding is just as comforting, my dogs are cared for, played with and receive lots of exercise. I love Rick as a person and trust him as someone who has entered our home without reservation.

My name is Marcel, and I am the luckiest poodle because Rick and his friends from Pittsburgh Paw Adventures have been taking me for a walk six days a week since I was a puppy. They take me to the park, or we walk around the neighborhood for a long time and when I get home, I am tired and happy. My Mom feels that I am very safe with Rick and his team because they are all very nice, reliable, and very helpful. When we get home, they tell my parents how I behaved, and they even give me a cookie.
When my parents are away, I stay with Rick and I love it because he has a very big yard and I can run and run and play with his dogs, who are my friends because we walk together almost every day.

I can't recommend Rick highly enough! He has been absolutely wonderful with my dog Booker. What impresses me most is how genuinely caring he is - it's clear he truly loves what he does and forms real bonds with the dogs in his care.
Booker clearly enjoys his time with Rick and comes back exhausted and happy. Rick's communication is excellent, and I have complete peace of mind knowing Booker is in such good hands. You can tell he treats each dog as if it were his own.

Rick and his team are absolutely the best! I have a two and a half old Bernadoodle named Hugo. Initially, Rick took the time upfront to understand my dog's routine and needs, making Hugo feel completely comfortable and cared for. Rick has taken excellent care of him many times when I have been out of the country and state travelling for work or fun. He goes above and beyond in every way from answering my questions to sending messages and adorable photos which provides so much peace of mind while I am away. I can always tell that Hugo is happy, relaxed, and well cared for when Rick drops him off. Camp Rick is actually the best! Cooper loves Rick and all of his associates so much that it makes going out of town so much less stressful. I travel ofen and was lucky enough to meet Rick Brake when Cooper was a puppy. Cooper has been attending 'Camp Rick' for nearly 5 years, as well as being walked often, especially when I tore my ACL and was out of commission for nine months last year. Rick is a literal dog whisperer. He is patient, flexible, and incredible with the dogs. I am so thankful for Camp Rick and would recommend him to anyone!

I can't say enough great things about our dog sitter Rick! We have two dogs (Taylor and Jackson) and they absolutely adore Rick! From the moment he stepped foot in our house to meet the doggies, we knew they were in great hands! He took the time to learn routines, personalities, quirks and treated them like his own. Whether it was daily walks, feeding, playtime or just hanging out with them, he goes above and beyond.
We received regular updates and photos, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. It was clear from the pics (and from how relaxed and happy the doggies were when we got back) that they were well cared for and loved.

Pittsburgh Paw Adventures, and specifically its owner, Rick, has provided impeccable care for our fur baby for many years. His kindness, gentleness and compassion for all fur babies is so evident in his care. His attention to the dogs’ needs, behaviors, medications etc. is superior. While we lost our 16 year old pup last year, we have a new rescue and we will continue to trust Rick with our dog’s care. We never have to worry when we’re away – we know our pup is in the best hands. AND, we get the BEST pictures!!!

Rick has been with us for 6 years... since Ruby was just a puppy. Not only does he walk her, Ruby stays with Rick when I travel. I would never trust my little yorkie with anyone but Rick and his team. I always know she's safe, cared for and happy. I don't know what I would do without Rick!

Rick and his team have been walking our dog Lucy for about 2 years and we could not be happier! He is reliable, professional, communicative, flexible, and kind ! and he truly understands dogs! We have complicated schedules and sometimes need to add an extra day on at the last minute or have Lucy picked up/dropped off at our family member’s house nearby. He is always responsive and willing to work with us!
She has also boarded at his house a few times when we go out of town and she comes back exercised/tired and happy with a few adorable photos to show for it :).
When Rick or his team members come to get her, Lucy gets sooo excited! Sometimes I think she loves Rick’s crew as much as she loves our family. She gets to ride around in the car with other dogs for drop offs and gets some socialization. Then she goes on a walk for an hour or more, when it’s not extreme weather which Rick is also mindful of. The pack walks help all of us by keeping her exercised and content. We give Rick our highest recommendation!

Rick is amazing. A true dog whisperer. My 2 Cotons, Jon and Pugsley love him so much as get excited whenever he comes for them. He knows how to handle them and they respect and follow him. Ultra dependable too! And he loves our pups so much.
When we are away and they have to stay at Camp Rick, they have such a great time that they don’t want to come home.

Rick and his team are magic! Our dog literally runs to Rick’s car when he stops at our house to pick her up. She loves her long walks in the woods with Rick and the rest of the pack. My dog Henry started walking with Rick when we first moved back to Pittsburgh 9 years ago. He was just a young pup & always excited to go out with his pal Rick. A few years later Cleo joined my pack as well as Rick's.
Rick is kind of like the pied piper of dogs. He has a special way with them & is very knowledgeable in terms of health & training. He, himself, has many dogs so his experience and genuine affection for them is very apparent. As a walker, he is flexible in terms of walk times & days off, which some walkers are not. He is reliable, responsible & runs a solid business.
